New Year, New Me.... isn't that what everyone says?

Hi I'm Lady-h, otherwise known as Liv Stone; a mixed media "new" artist, "junk" art journaler, creativity-muster, if I am sitting still, my hands don't know how to keep calm, without getting my artsi fartsi on. (also dive into creative writing and photography...I shoot with a Canon Mark series!) I could sit here and write things in my about me section and talk all day about things that make me unique in Gods eyes. Life is too short for feelin self-conscious, for not saying how you truly feel & for not going for what you really want. . My heart is in the hands of two amazing guys #1) Jesus Christ, & #2) Bert Guidry. Both of these men have changed my perspective on life/love/the world. I have the most wonderful & supportive friends a girl could ever ask for. My faith & family keep me going when I get down. I think simple pleasures are the best- like flowers (daisy's), dancing & sunny days. I believe life is what you make of it & life is glorious! I thank the Lord above everyday, I am alive and able to do the things I am able to do through him.

Tell us a little bit about yourself & what kind of artist you are.

My name is actually, Heather Guidry and I live in Mobile Alabama. I’ve lived in Mobile all 30 years of my life, and I have found anything with creating to be my passion. Liv Stone is a name I like to use with my writing, it's a play on my maiden name. I used to sign all my writings with it when I was young. And I personally don't think anyone still uses their real name on the net do they? Don't think so!!!

I have been an artsi fartsi person as far back as I can remember, some of my friends say, "I wish I was as crafty as you." My first love, photography, is a treasured gift from my dad. The first camera I had was a 70's model minolta film camera. Now I use anything canon! Here's some of my photography listed below. One of my biggest accomplishments with it was in 2010 when I completed project 365. Actually taking a picture a day!!

Art junk journaling was another favorite medium. As a young child, I would stay up late at night waiting on my pictures to develop, so I could do my junk scrapbooking. I recently discovered mixed media and art journaling once again. I primarily use ink sprays but also try my hand with a brush and acryllic paints. I think as the older I get, I find myself becoming more in tune with my creative mojo. So to speak. Even if I dont have that mojo, I still try to write, journal, or create something with my hands. If I am not creating something, I find my world to turn into mush.

What really got me all interested again in art journaling was, Keri Smiths, Wreck this Journal. I then found art journal flips and got really into mixed media. During a random evening at home, I found Christy's  blog. Journaled in my journal I had to take this class this year !!! The next night, tonight, I signed up for it! I can't wait. I will be getting a flicker, and whatever else I need to get to join the class.

I've joined blogger once again, I'm excited to start 2014 out with a art class, that is right where I am beginning to feel the need to urge and create and learn so much more.  With this class, I hope to become more comfortable sharing my art with the rest of you. http://www.christytomlinson.typepad.com/
